I was ready to go
The brushes were wet
And the paint was as fresh as new snow
I began to paint
I was doing so well
But a mistake almost made me faint
My picture did not look so swell
Blue paint was spilled
where it did not belong
My heart was drilled
It looked so..wrong.
But I thought to myself
not to dread on this mistake
I can fix it myself
because I am great, I can paint!
In the original shot
the sky was grey
however then I thought,
blue can make it look like day!
I changed the scenery
and fixed some things
The problem was now history
and I felt like a king.

This is a great poem. Although you initially made a mistake that seemed to have ruined your painting, you were able to take that mistake and continue to create a good piece of artwork. Congrats.
ReplyDeleteI liked this poem, because it represents the strong theme of never giving up. I thought it was creative how you used the mistake you made and changed it into something that looked authentic.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this poem because it "painted" a picture in my head of what happened and the fact that you were able to improvise to fix your mistake was impressive.
ReplyDeleteI made my poem this month about my art project too! Just like your poem the painting came out great.
ReplyDeleteWhat i really liked about this poem was how you were able to take your mistake and make it into something new. I look forward to seeing this painting now!
